Construction Technician Join Verdantas as a Construction Technician, where you will play a vital role in implementing Best Management Practices (BMPs) for erosion control, stormwater management, and environmental compliance on various construction and recovery projects. If you enjoy hands-on fieldwork and are passionate about environmental stewardship, this opportunity is for you! What You'll Do: Install and maintain BMPs such as fiber rolls, gravel bags, jute netting, silt fencing, check dams, and storm drain protection systems.Conduct site services to minimize track-out, sediment transport, and soil movement.Support wildfire recovery and disaster response efforts by deploying and maintaining BMPs.Document daily field activities and take photos using mobile survey tools.Assist in hydroseeding, slope stabilization, and vegetation management.Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Wildfire Risk Assessments.Collaborate with field crews and project managers to ensure timely execution of BMP scopes.What You'll Bring: Capacity to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor outdoors.Preferred experience with barbed wire fencing, hydroseeding, and irrigation.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.A strong work ethic, punctuality, and flexibility to travel and work varying hours.Previous experience in construction, environmental services, or stormwater compliance is a plus.Familiarity with walk-behind trenchers and various hand tools.Work Schedule & Conditions: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 3 PM, with potential for overtime, evening, overnight, and weekend work.Lodging and travel costs are covered for remote assignments.Fieldwork in various weather and terrain conditions is required.Salary Range: $20-$25/hr Benefits: Flexible Work EnvironmentPaid Parental LeaveMedicalDentalVisionLife and AD&D InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off + HolidaysAt Verdantas, we are committed to fostering diversity within our workforce.
